Lower exhaust by disconnecting (3) rubber exhaust hangers from muffler, (2) at the front and (1) at the rear of the muffler.
Note: If additional clearance is needed, disconnect muffler from exhaust pipe by removing (2) bolts forward of muffler. Retain bolts for re-
installation.

Raise hitch into position, installing fasteners as shown into existing weldnuts in vehicle frame.
3.
Install tube spacer, blocks and ½-13 x 4" lg. hex bolt thru tow hook and into hole in hitch bracket as shown.
Tighten all M10 x 1.25 CL8.8 fasteners with torque wrench to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N*M)
Tighten all ½-13 GR5 fasteners with torque wrench to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M)

Raise exhaust back into position by re-connecting rubber exhaust hangers (re-attach muffler to exhaust pipe if removed in step 1).
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent
entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a
vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

SAE J684.
