FOR YOUR SAFETY
This device operates with liquid under pressure. Failure
to observe cautions and follow instructions for use
and maintenance can cause tank, hose or other parts
to become corroded, weakened, and/or burst. This
can result in serious injury or property damage from
forcible ejection of parts or high-pressure discharge of
material. Do not use any flammables or boiling liquids
in this device as it is not designed nor intended for
such use. Some materials can ignite or explode. Do not
use in an enclosed space, near an open flame such as
found in a bbq grill or water heater, near an electric
motor or open switch, or any source of heat. Do not
smoke while using. Use of flammables could result in
serious injury or property damage from unintended
ignition or explosion. Do not use any caustics or acids
in this device, since these can damage or weaken
the device and its parts, resulting in serious injury or
property damage. Keep out of reach from children and
pets. Always read and follow directions on the spray
material container, including the need for protective
clothing. Before using your device, thoroughly inspect
both inside and outside of the device and do not
pressurize device if tank, hose or other parts appear
to be damaged, discolored, brittle, excessively soft
or loose. Do not pressurize with any mechanical
device such as an air compressor, since this can create
dangerous pressure and bursting of parts and result in
serious injury. Wear long-sleeved shirt, pants, gloves,
goggles or similar protective clothing when using.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION
1.
Remove contents from the carton and firmly thread
pump into tank opening.
2.
Install hose assembly and ensure that nut is tight.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.
For best results, run cold engine for 2 minutes to
warm oil to 120°F/48°C. Turn off engine.
CAUTION: Engine and oil could be hot. Fig 1.
2.
Remove siphon tube yellow cap. Insert end of
siphon tube into the dipstick opening until it
reaches bottom. Ensure siphon tube is fully
submerged. Fig 2.
3.
Unlock pump handle by pressing and rotating
counter clockwise. Fig 3.
4.
Pump handle approximately 25 full strokes. Fluid
should now be flowing into tank. If you see air
bubbles, ensure siphon tube is submerged. Fig 4.
5.
After a few minutes, (or when fluid slows) pump
another 10 - 15 strokes on the pump.
6.
Watch fluid movement through clear hose. If it slows
or stops, pump a few more times until engine is
empty. Siphoning will continue until engine is
empty or siphon tube is removed, stopping the
siphoning action. Do not overfill or exceed tank
capacity.
7.
Carefully remove tube from dipstick opening. Use
a rag to absorb any oil on the outside of the siphon
tube. Place the yellow tube cap on the end of the
siphon tube to stop fluid from dripping out.
8.
When transporting, lock handle by pressing down
and rotating pump handle clockwise into the lock
position. Remove hose assembly if desired.
Dispose of any hazardous liquid properly per your
state/county regulations.
Do not store near heat or in direct sunlight.

SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
Visit www.hdhudson.com/FAQS
Clean and dry your sprayer after every use to greatly
prolong its useful service life. Many materials will
harden if left in the sprayer and plug up. The soft
parts, O-rings and gaskets, will ultimately wear out
and need replacing, just like the oil filter on your car,
for example. How often they need replacing depends
on how much you use, the materials you use and
whether or not the device is regularly cleaned after
use. Call 1-800-9-SPRAYER or visit www.hdhudson.
com to obtain genuine Hudson® replacement parts.
If you leave your device in the garage over Winter,
particularly in northern areas, the soft parts may dry
out and need servicing before you use your device for
the first time in the Spring.
