The SWAN back pressure regulator has an integrated diaphragm
regulator which maintains a constant outlet pressure of 0.5 bar pro-
vided that the inlet pressure is higher than 0.5 bar.
At a inlet pressure of <0.5 bar the valve spring [E] presses the seal-
ing element [C] against the valve body so that the overflow outlet
[D] is closed. In this case the outlet pressure corresponds to the in-
let pressure.
At a inlet pressure of >0.5 bar the membrane [B] is lifted against the
spring force and the excess sample outlet is opened. A constant
outlet pressure of 0.5 bar is maintained.
