3. Installation
To ensure stable regulation of a low pressure, the regulator has to
be located close to the instruments to minimize pressure losses on
distribution lines to the instruments.
In combination with the SWAN monitors, the SWAN BPR is in-
stalled on the instrument side, below the instrument panels, on the
left side of a group of instruments for a given sample line. The dis-
tribution lines are then routed from left to right from the backpres-
sure regulator to the individual instruments. This leads to very
readable arrangements.

Note: To limit and adjust the sample flow, a control valve
specified for the max. system pressure must always be installed
upstream of the back pressure regulator.
