05. NOTES ON COMMAND BUTTONS
05.1 Operating logic of the command buttons
- By pressing the UP button for at least 0.5 seconds, the motor moves upwards until the button is released or when the limit switch is activated.
- By pressing the DOWN button for at least 0.5 seconds, the motor moves downwards until the button is released or when the limit switch is activated.
- If the motor is moving (the UP or DOWN button pressed), and the other button is pressed, the motor stops. Only when one of the two buttons is released does the motor perform the
manoeuvre associated with the pressed button.
If the motor encounters an obstacle during movement that stops it, the motor will no longer move in the direction of the obstacle. To restore correct operation, operate the motor for at
least one second in the opposite direction and remove the obstacle, checking that the event has not caused damage to the roller shutters and other sensitive parts of the system
(stopper, anti-lifting devices, cassette, ...).
05.2 Interfacing with Home Automation Control Unit
The control outputs of the home automation control unit must be connected to the motor button inputs (BROWN and BLACK wires), replacing the manual control buttons. The home
automation control unit must meet the following requirements:
a) The home automation control unit must be connected to the motor as per the diagram, replacing the command buttons with the control outputs of the home automation control unit.
b) To allow the complete opening / closing operation, the control unit must be able to close the up / down contact for the time necessary for the motor to complete the opening / closing
operation.
c) To stop the motor, the home automation control unit must be able to re-open the up / down contacts at any time.
At the time of printing of this document, there are no particular problems concerning the connection between MASTER SPA products and home automation systems (if the above rules
are respected). However MASTER declines any responsibility regarding the lack of compatibility (even partial) with any home automation control unit. If the home automation control
panel uses KNX protocols or similar, contact the home automation system supplier informing them of the above rules. It is likely that the manufacturer of the home automation system
can provide adequate interfaces to connect the motor to the home automation system.
