Important safety instructions
21. Any application which exceeds the intended use and/or any other application of the device is not
permitted and counts as a non-intended use.
22. Any claims against the manufacturer and/or its authorised representatives due to damages
caused by the non-intended application of this device are ruled out.
23. The operator alone is liable for all damages caused by non-intended use.
24. The correct observance of the installation, operating, maintenance and cleaning instructions
also counts as intended use.
WARNINGS! Danger of electric shock!
- Two separately protected fixed socket outlets with earthing contact shall be used for
GDF3024, GDF3028 and GDF5028. It is prohibited to use a multiple socket outlet or
extension cord for all models that overloading might be occurred. Do not pull on the
cable to remove the plug from the power socket. The cable must not come into contact
with hot parts.
- The device can cause injuries if installed incorrectly! Before installation compare the
data of the local electrical mains with the technical data of the device (see name plate).
- Observe the safety guidelines!
25. Make sure that the cable does not come into contact with heat sources or sharp edges. Do not
let the cable hand off the table or the food counter.
WARNINGS!
- Danger of injury! Hot oil sprays or fat explosions could burn the hands, arms and
face!
26. Do not use the device if it does not function correctly, is damaged or has fallen to the floor.
27. Do not use accessories and spare parts which are not recommended by the manufacturer. They
may represent a risk to the user or cause damage to the device and cause personal injury, and
this also invalidates the guarantee.
28. Do not lay the cable over carpets or other heat-conductive materials. Do not cover the cable.
Keep the cable away from working areas and do not immerse in water.
29. Do not move or tip the device while it is in operation.
30. The plug and the switch must be dry when operating the device.
31. Do not leave the device unsupervised during operation, as operational defects may cause the oil
to overheat and this can ignite at high temperatures.
32. Do not leave any frying goods in the basket hanging over the container with the hot oil.
33. The fryer may not be moved or repositioned as long as the oil is hot. Let the oil cool down first.
34. Never operate the device if there is no frying oil in the oil container. Make sure that the oil level
is always between the MIN and MAX markings.
WARNINGS! Danger of burns!
- During operation some of the parts of the device become very hot. In order to avoid
injuries, be careful when you touch these surfaces.
- If the oil level is above the MAX marking, hot oil may overflow.
- During operation the deep fat fryer and the oil in the oil container get very hot and there
is a danger that the oil may ignite.
35. Only use liquid fat for frying. Let blocks of fat melt first!
36. Do not leave the device on for too long!
37. Set the temperature switch to the (off) position and disconnect the device from the power point
(pull the plug out!), as soon as you have finished frying and the device is no longer used.
38. To ensure that misuse and associated hazards are ruled out, make your waste electrical device
unusable before disposal. To do so, disconnect the device from the mains and remove the
power cable from the device.
