INTRODUCTION:
Your new Sunbeam electronic clock radio is a fine, precision made instrument. The
timekeeping and radio design are based on solid state integrated circuits with highly
advanced technology. A few moments of your time reading these instructions will
reward you with years of satisfaction.
FEATURES
POWER FAILURE INDICATOR:
An important feature of your clock radio is the ability to signal an incorrect time
display due to a power supply interruption. When this happens, the entire CLOCK
DISPLAY will flash on and off warning that the time being displayed is incorrect.
Follow the procedure outlined under "SETTING THE TIME" to reset your clock.
BATTERY BACK-UP:
In the event of power failure this unit will automatically switch to a battery stand-by
circuit when battery installed. Under Battery Operation, the clock will keep the time
running. The alarm/radio will not sound but all other functions will maintain their
original settings. The clock display will not light in order to save battery energy.
When battery back up system is not working properly (probably due to a defective
battery), try with a new battery (we recommend using only the alkaline type 9V
battery). If you have a long power failure you may need to make a slight adjustment
of clock time after AC power returns (The clock uses an internal battery powered
clock circuit that is less accurate than the power line frequency.) Just follow the
time setting instruction, the alarm time will remain correct.
AM/PM INDICATOR (13)
AM will be lighted in the upper left hand corner of the display indicating that the time
shown is in the A.M. time zone. PM will be lighted in the lower left hand corner of the
display indicating that the time shown is in the P.M. time zone (P.M. ZONE is from
12 NOON to 12 MIDNIGHT).
ALARM ON/OFF INDICATOR (14)
ON will be lighted in the upper right hand corner of the display indicating that the
