alarm has been set to operate. OFF will be lighted in the lower right hand corner of
the display indicating that the alarm has not been set to operate.
OPERATION:
Plug the AC CORD into any 110 -120 volt, 60Hz AC home outlet. For optimum FM
reception, the AC CORD (or antenna) should be fully extended. The entire CLOCK
DISPLAY may flash numerals, together with the alarm or radio sound. This is a normal
initial condition, it will stop by following the steps outlined under "SETTING THE TIME".
Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit and install a 9volt battery.
(We recommend using only the alkaline type)
SETTING THE TIME:
1. Slide the RADIO SWITCH (10) to the "OFF" position.
2. HOUR -PRESS and HOLD the TIME SET button (7) while pressing the HOUR
button (1) at the same time to advance the CLOCK DISPLAY to correct hour.
Release the buttons.
3. MINUTE -PRESS and HOLD the TIME SET button (7) while pressing the MINUTE
button (2) at the same time to advance the CLOCK DISPLAY to the correct
minute. Release the buttons.
THE PM indicator will be lighted when the clock is reading PM. THE AM indicator
will be lighted when the clock is reading AM. Be sure PM and AM is correctly set
for both the clock time and alarm time.
PLAYING THE RADIO:
1. Slide the RADIO SWITCH (10) to the "ON" position.
2. Adjust the VOLUME control (6) to your listening pleasure.
3. Select the BAND of your choice by sliding the BAND SWITCH (8) to the "AM"
or "FM" position.
4. Rotate the TUNING control (5) while watching the DIAL SCALE and tune to your
selected radio station.
5. Slide the radio SWITCH (10) to the "OFF" position if you want to turn it off.
SETTING THE ALARM:
1. Slide the RADIO SWITCH (10) to the "OFF" position.
2. PRESS and HOLD the ALARM SET button (3), the time shown on the CLOCK
DISPLAY is the alarm time.
3. While holding the ALARM SET button, press the HOUR (1) or MINUTE (2) button
to set your desired alarm time. Release the buttons when correct hour and
minutes are displayed.
4. If you desire to be awakened by the radio adjust the VOLUME control to your
listening pleasure accordingly. Slide the RADIO SWITCH (10) to the wake to
alarm position. However if you prefer to be awakened by a loud buzzer, simply
slide the RADIO SWITCH (10) to WAKE TO ALARM and move volume control
(6) to the BUZZ position. The ALARM ON INDICATOR will light, showing you
that the alarm is set to operate.
SNOOZE CONTROL:
When the alarm sounds, a blinking light will illuminate the snooze button. Simply touch
the SNOOZE button (9) to silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again approximately
9 minutes later. This can be repeated as often as you wish for up to two hours. To
silence the ALARM RADIO or BUZZER, push down on alarm button (3).
