10-Motor Massage & Heat Recliner
Assembly Instructions:
WARNING
– To reduce the risk of serious injur y:
•
Check the condition of the power transformers, electrical cords, plugs
and connectors monthly. Keep the power transformer and electrical
cords away from heat sources. Never operate the unit with a damaged
power transformer, electrical cord, plug or connector. Contact your
La-Z-Boy
®
dealer for ser vice.
6. Connect the Power Transformer.
•
Locate the Power Transformer secured to the base rail. Carefully cut the
cable tie and remove the Power Transformer from the rail. Remove the
packing and unwind the cord.
•
Align the Power Transformer connector with the connector located next to
the rear body rail, and push the connectors tightly together (F
previous page). Keep the cord to the back of the chair, away from the
bottom of the base and mechanism.
7. Return the chair to its upright position.
•
Hold the Power Transformer cord away from the base and return the chair
to the upright position. Make sure the Power Transformer cord is not
pinched between the base and the floor. Return the seat and back to the
upright position.
WARNING
– To reduce the risk of serious injur y:
•
Provide a clear path for operation of the back and legrest. Place
tables and area rugs at a distance to allow the legrest to fully extend
without rubbing or interference.
8. Choose a location for the chair that is close to an electrical outlet and
proceed to the Operating Instructions.
NOTICE:
To prevent damage to the connectors and cords, it is
impor tant to unfasten all connections prior to removing the back.
9. To remove the back, unplug the Power Transformer and reverse the Assembly
Instructions steps.

DANGER
•
Plug directly into a wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord or adapter.
WARNING
•
Sit down in the unit slowly. To avoid tip over, do not throw your weight
against the back of the unit. Move the unit into or out of the reclining
position slowly, making sure that no children or pets are in close proximity.
•
To safely exit the unit and prevent a tripping hazard bring the back
upright and close the legrest.

Plug the Power Transformer into a wall outlet.

The AirSpa
deflate to provide a rolling massage, with an automatic timer that will shut off
the massage after 30 minutes of operation. The 10-Motor Vibrating Massage
system can be set for 15 or 30 minutes of operation. The Heat function will shut
off automatically after 30 minutes of operation.
•
Press the PWR button, at the top left on the hand wand, once to start the
15 minute vibrating massage; or press and hold down the PWR button to
start the 30 minute vibrating massage. To restart, press the PWR or ZONE button.
•
Press the ZONE button to select from the five vibrating massage zones.
Any or all of the zones can be selected.
•
Press the HEAT button once to select low heat and twice to select high heat.
•
Press the PULSE, WAVE or CIRCLE button to select a vibrating massage mode.
Each mode has three actions.
•
Press the PWR button, at the bottom left on the hand wand, to start the

•
Press the INFLATE or DEFLATE button to customize the lumbar support.
•
Press the LOWER BACK button and select HIGH, MED, or LOW to customize
the lower back massage. Reclining in the chair will provide a firmer massage.
NOTICE:
when electrical power is restored after a power outage. The timers
should automatically shut down the chair within 30 minutes. There
should be no risk of injur y or damage if this happens.
