Using the lantern on the
lantern base
When the lantern (B) is on the lantern base (A), the light
on the lantern base (A) turns off and the lantern (B)
will shine brighter (increased lumens). The lantern (B)
functions as a dusk-to-dawn light (on during the night
and off during the day) when mounted on the lantern
base (A).
NOTE: The photocell (3) which controls the dusk-to-dawn
function is located on the bottom of the lantern base
toward the front of the fixture.

Using the lantern off the
lantern base
When the lantern (B) is off the lantern base (A), the light
on the lantern base (A) turns on and the lantern (B) will
shine softer (decreased lumens). The lantern (B) stays
on for up to 2 hours when the backup battery is fully
charged and the lantern is removed from the lantern
base (A).
NOTE: The lantern will come on during the day or night
when it is removed from the lantern base.
The lantern base will only come on at night when the
lantern is removed from the lantern base.
