Mount the Shade
5.1 Drive Wires and Controls
At the drive end, turn the square mounting yoke so that the drive control buttons face downward,
allowing access to them from below the pocket. Route the EDU power and control cables through one
of the notches facing the front (room side) or rear (window side) as shown.
5.2 Verify the Idler Type

Gray Tube Flange
5.3 Hang the Shade
IMPORTANT: This procedure must be performed by 2 people, with one person supporting each end of the shade. If the sub-brackets are mounted in a location
that cannot be reached when standing on the floor, 2 ladders or lifts may also be required. It is recommended that all steps are reviewed by both installers
before proceeding.
The square mounting yoke at each end of the shade is designed to fit over the mounting tabs on the shade brackets. Each side features a notch. The top and bottom
of the yoke will engage the shade bracket mounting tabs, with the lower notch around the retaining screw.
A. Align the idler mounting yoke with the shade bracket mounting tabs, and fit the yoke around the tabs and behind the head of the retaining screw as shown.

retaining screw, on the drive end shade bracket.

Check and Secure the Shade
Shades are sized according to the bracket-to-bracket distance indicated
on the original order so that the spring loaded idler will be compressed
to 50% of its total travel when both ends of the shade are engaged in the
brackets. This ensures safe mounting and smooth, quiet operation. After
mounting the shade according to the steps in Section 5, verify the idler is
compressed to 50% of its total travel by measuring the idler-end light gap
as described in Step A below.
Buttons
A. With the shade in the brackets, measure and verify that the idler-end light gap,
Downward
measured from the end of the shade tube to the outer face of the Idler Bracket,
is 3/4 in (19 mm), ±
⁄
in (3 mm). Make bracket position adjustments to correct,

if necessary.
B. Verify that the installed shade system is level and centered on the window
opening. Make bracket position adjustments to correct, if necessary.
C. Using the hand screwdriver only, tighten the retaining screw at each end of the
shade to secure it. DO NOT overtighten.

Wiring and Power-Up
A. Follow the instructions in the enclosed document: Sivoia QS Basic Wiring and
Setup; P/N 045520 to complete the shade wiring and set limits.
B. Run the shade up and down several times and verify that no object interferes
with normal shade movement. Make additional adjustments as necessary to
correct any problems discovered.

Install the Optional Pocket Flap (if applicable)
Hang the pocket flap on the flap hanger as shown. Verify the flap does not
contact the fabric or interfere with shade movement.
NOTE: For tall shades with large fabric roll diameter, lowering the shade
will make it easier to install the pocket flap.
