3. INSTALLATION

UDA 8 and UDA 16 are frequency shaded passive column speaker types, meaning that most of the
speakers have been low pass filtered in order to widen the high frequency vertical directivity compared
to a conventional passive column speaker. The low pass filtered speakers are reproducing only low or
low&mid frequencies. This technique implies that, on the other hand, the rest of the speakers are
reproducing the whole frequency range, that is low, mid and high frequencies.
On the UDA 16, the speakers reproducing the whole frequency range (from low to high) are located at
the end opposite to the "WORK" logo. If two UDA 16 units are to be assembled one on top of the other
it is recommended that the speakers reproducing the whole frequency range be close together. That is,
when two UDA 16 units are assembled in a single line one of the units should be assembled upside
down, so the "WORK" logos will be seen at the ends of the arrangement. Please also note that when
