4. CONNECTION

The UDA 8 and UDA 16 can be connected to either an NL4 type connector (+/-1) or a barrier terminal
strip
To connect the UDA 8 or UDA 16 to the barrier terminal strip remove the metallic cover on the rear
side of the unit, get loose the nut of the cable gland, insert the cable and connect the two wires paying
attention to the polarity. Then attach the metallic cover in place and screw the nut of the cable gland
again.
To connect the UDA 8 or UDA 16 to the NL4 type connector remove the metallic cover on the rear side
of the unit and insert the NL4 type connector.
In order to avoid acoustic cancellations please make sure that all of the UDA units are connected with
the correct polarity to the amplifiers.

UDA 16 TL

UDA 16 TL is a line transformer that can be used both on UDA 8 or UDA 16.
To connect one UDA 16 TL to a UDA 8 or UDA 16 unit remove the metallic cover on the rear side of
the UDA 16 TL, get loose the nut of the cable gland and insert the cable. Then connect the amplifier
output to the terminals labeled "IN 100V", and the UDA unit to the terminals labeled "OUT 8 ohm" as
can be seen in the picture, paying attention to the polarity. To finish attach the metallic cover in place
and screw the nut of the cable gland again.
In order to avoid acoustic cancellations please make sure that all of the UDA units are connected with
the correct polarity to the amplifiers and to the UDA 16 TL line transformer.
