APPLICATION
The jointer can be used for all work fit and finish on
wood.
It is not designed for commercial use.
Use this tool only for the type of work for which it
has been designed.
Any use other then those indicated in this manual is
a misuse.
In the event the user alone is responsible for
damages or injuries stemming from such misuse.
The manufacturer shall not be held responsible for
any modification made to the tool or for any
damage that might result from said modifications.
Finally, use of this planer in accordance with the
instructions in the present manual does not in
itself guarantee the elimination of all residual risk
factors.
Read this manual and general
safety instructions carefully
before using the appliance, for
your own safety. Your power tool
should only be passed on
together with these instructions.
General safety instructions.
"WARNING!
When using electric tools always comply with the
basic safety instructions to reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock and injury to persons, including the
instructions below. Read all the instructions before
using this product and retain the information".
1 - Keep the work zone clean.
- Disorderly zones and workbenches are likely to
cause accidents.
2 - Consider the work zone environment.
- Do not expose tools to rain.
- Do not use tools in wet or damp environments.
- Keep the work zone well lit.
- Do not use tools in the presence of inflammable
liquids or gases.
3 - Protection against electric shocks.
- Avoid any bodily contact with surfaces that are
earthed or connected to earth (for example pipes,
radiators, cookers, refrigerators).

4 - Keep other people away.
- Do not let people, particularly children, who are not
involved in the work in progress touch the tool or the
extension lead, and keep them away from the work
zone.
5 - Store tools not in use.
- When they are not in use tools should be stored in
a dry, closed place outside the reach of children.
6 - Do not force the tool.
- It will work best and most safely at the speed for
which it has been designed.
7 - Use the correct tool.
- Do not force small tools to make them do the work
of an industrial tool.
- Do not use tools for purposes for which they are
not intended, for example, do not use Circular Saws
to cut tree branches or wood logs.
8 - Wear appropriate clothing.
- Do not wear loose clothing or jewels, because they
can be caught in the moving parts.
- Wearing non slip shoes is recommended for
outside work.
- Wear hair protection intended to contain long hair.
9 - Use protective equipment.
- Use safety glasses.
- Use a normal or dust mask if the working
operations generate dust.
10- Connect the dust extraction equipment.
- If the tool has provision for the connection of dust
extraction and collection equipment, check that it is
connected and used correctly.
11 - Do not use the cable/lead in poor
conditions.
- Never jerk the cable/lead to disconnect it from the
electric socket.
- Keep the cable/lead away from heat, all lubricant
and all sharp edges.
12 - Fixing the part to be machined.
- As far as possible use clamps or a vice to hold the
piece to be machined. This practice is safer than
using the hands.
13 - Do not adopt an exaggerated attitude
- Keep a suitable balanced position at all times.
14 - Maintain tools carefully.
- Keep cutting tools sharp and clean for the best and
safest performance.
Follow the instructions for lubricating and replacing
accessories.
- Examine the tool cables/leads regularly and have
them repaired, when they are damaged, by an
approved maintenance service.
- Examine the extension leads regularly and replace
them if they are damaged.
