OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: SUNSHADE
The Sightmark Spotting Scope's sunshade (2) is designed to keep the glare of the sun away from the user's eye and out
of the field of view. To extend the sunshade, find the black plastic ring located around the scope's objective lens (1) and
gently pull outward. To remove, push the plastic ring inward until it is flush with the scope's body.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: FOCUS
To focus your Sightmark Spotting Scope, follow these instructions:
1) Find the focusing knob (4) that is located between the objective lens and the eyepiece.
2) Look through the eyepiece (5) and find an object in the distance to focus on.
3) To bring the object into view, turn the focusing knob to the left or right until the object's outline is crisp. Turning the
knob counter-clockwise is best for focusing on objects at close range while clockwise is effective at longer distances.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: MAGNIFICATION AND ADJUSTMENT
The Sightmark Spotting Scope's powerful magnification has capabilities at both short and long distances. To adjust:
1) Closely examine the eyepiece. At the base of the eyepiece, there is a small silver dot that indicates the magnification
at which it is currently set to. Above this is a black ring that indicates the magnification setting (6).
2) To change magnification, look through the eyepiece and simply rotate the magnification ring (7) until the desired
setting is achieved.
3) Once you are at the desired magnification, bring the image into focus.
