Attaching Shredder Hopper and
Hammermill Housing
1. See

2-4. Remove the two shipping nuts (A)
securing hammermill housing (B) to the power unit
using a 1/2" wrench. Discard shipping nuts.

2-5. Position the larger end of the
shredder hopper (C) on a flat surface and set ham-
mermill housing (D) over the shredder hopper.
3. Secure hammer head housing to shredder hopper
using:
1-1/4-20 button head screws on the inside with a
•
5/32" Allen wrench.
•
1-1/4-20 locknuts on the outside with a 7/16"
wrench.
NOTE: Adjust the shredder hopper and hammermill
housing while tightening the hardware to make sure the
back side of hopper (D) is flush to flange (F).

NOTE: If there are gaps, remove the hammermill hous-
ing/shredder hopper assembly, loosen the hardware
installed in step 2 and adjust the hammermill housing and
shredder hopper to align better with the flywheel housing.
Retighten the hardware and reposition the hammermill
housing and shredder hopper onto the flywheel housing
studs.

5. Verify there are no noticeable gaps between the
hammermill housing flange and flywheel housing.
