Do not use cleansers containing alcohol or
other flammable substances to clean the
mixing bowl. Instead, wipe bowls with a
damp cloth.

6.1 Cleaning the Inlet Filter

The vacuum built-up is only warranted with
cleaned suction filter.
The inlet filter (J) should be inspected and cleaned at
least once per month.
The inlet filter should also be cleaned if vacuum fails
to build up or is slow in building up.
The inlet filter is particularly liable to be-
come dirty after mixing silicones or if
mixing bowls are completely filled. In this
case, you should clean the filter before pro-
ceeding with further work.
1. Switch the unit off.
2. Unscrew the inlet filter (Figure 24) using a 17mm
spanner.
3. Clean the filter in an ultrasonic bath (we recom-
mend using GO-2011 plaster solvent, Art. No.
2011-0000).
4. Reinstall the inlet filter (Figure 24).
Never operate the unit without the inlet
filter!
6.2 Replacing the Intake Filter
In order to prevent dirt particles from being carried
into the Twister venturi by the compressed air, the
compressed air coupling is equipped with an intake
filter (H). If vacuum fails to build up or is slow in build-
ing up this filter may be blocked and will need to be
replaced.
Always disconnect the unit from the com-
pressed air supply before replacing the
intake filter (Figure 13b)
The intake filter is a single unit that is removed and
reattached in the same way as a compressed air
hose.
• Disconnect the unit from the compressed air sup-
ply (Figure 13b).
• Press the ring on the intake filter up and pull the
compressed air hose off (Figure 25a).
• Press the ring on the compressed air coupling up
and pull the intake filter off (Figure 25b).
• Connect a new intake filter to the compressed air
coupling.
• Connect the compressed air hose to the new
intake filter.
• Reconnect the unit to the compressed air supply
(Figure 13b).
• Gently pull on the intake filter and the hose to
make sure all connections are secure.
Frequent intake filter blockage is an indi-
cation of contaminated compressed air. In
such cases we recommend the upstream
installation of a filter pressure regulator
(refer to the „Accessories" section).

6.3 Seal Surfaces
The following seal surfaces must always be kept
clean in order to ensure correct vacuum built up and
the secure retention of the mixing bowl during the
mixing process:
• Seal between the unit and the blunger
(Figure 26a).
• Seal between the blunger and the bowl
(Figure 26b).
TIP:
You should coat the rubber seals on the blunger
with Vaseline once every month to ensure optimum
vacuum force.
6.4 Replacing the Electric Unit
and Motor Fuse
1. Unplug the unit from the wall outlet (Figure 14).
2. Unscrew the fuse holder cover (Figure 12 (M), (N),
Figure 27a + b).
3. Remove the fuse and replace it (Figure 28). Refer
to the „Technical Specifications" for the proper
fuse ratings.
Never use fuses with a higher current
rating!
4. Reinstall and close the fuse holder (Figure 27).

7. Spare Parts

For the order numbers of consumables and spare
parts please refer to the spare parts list at the end of
this manual.
8. Warranty
Provided the unit is properly used, Renfert warrants
the Twister venturi for a period of 3 years.
Presentation of the original bill of sale is required for
all warranty claims.
Components subject to natural wear (e.g., blungers,
mixing bowls, and intake filters) are excluded from
this warranty. The warranty is voided in case of im-
proper use; failure to observe the operating, cleaning,
maintenance, and connection instructions; in case of
independent repairs or repairs by unauthorized per-
sonnel; if spare parts from other manufacturers are
employed, or; in case of unusual influences or influ-
ences not in compliance with the utilization instruc-
tions. Warranty service shall not extend the original
warranty.
