11 Dismounting
Cause
• Contact tip not tightened.
• Control lead interrupted/defective.
• Wrong parameters set
• Contact tip worn out
• Liner clogged
• Contact tip and wire diameter not
matched
• Wrong contact pressure set on the
feeding unit
• Spatter bridge between contact tip
and insulator jacket
• Contact tip not matched to the wire
diameter or contact tip diameter
enlarged
• Wrong welding parameters set
• Wire guide unit worn-out
• Air currents blowing shielding gas
away
Dismounting may only be carried out by specialized personnel. Please make
sure that the shutdown procedures are strictly observed before the dismounting
work begins. Ensure this also for the components integrated into the welding
system.

Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up.
The following instructions must be adhered to throughout all maintenance,
servicing, assembly, disassembly and repair work:
• Switch off the power supply.
• Switch off the entire welding system.
• Pull the mains plug.

Solution
• Check and tighten
• Check/repair
• Check or correct setting
• Replace it
• Clean with compressed air in
both directions
• Replace contact tip
• Correct as specified by
manufacturer
• Clean contact tip and insulator
and spray them
• Check the contact tip and
replace it if necessary.
• Correct welding parameters
• Replace wire guide liner unit
• Shield welding area with
partitions
