To fasten seat belt across child: lap portion of the vehicle seat belt should rest within
EN
both lower belt guides with buckle located on the outside of the child restraint. On the
side of the seat belt buckle, route the shoulder belt together with the lab belt under the
armrest. Route the lap belt under both armrests.
5.
Place shoulder portion into the upper belt guide on the headrest so that belt lays
properly across child: on the collar bone, interior (A) to the shoulder (B).
6.
Fasten the vehicle seat belt. You will hear an audible CLICK! Pull the seat belt tight
to make sure it is not twisted.
7.
Make sure seat belt is not twisted and remove slack from seatbelt so it lays flat, smooth and snug across child in all locations.
NOTE: Test by pulling on the child restraint and shoulder belt to ensure it is locked.
CLICK
WARNING: If lap and shoulder belt portions of seat belt and seat belt buckle are not all correctly positioned, restraint is not properly
installed as a booster seat.
SECURING THE CHILD
WARNING: If your child is not properly secured in the child restraint, they may be ejected in a crash, resulting in serious injury or death.
1.
Place your child in the child restraint in a seated position.
2.
The child should be seated against both the back and bottom of the seat with no gap behind the child. Do not allow the child to
slouch.
3.
Pull the vehicle belt. Thread it through the car seat slots to the vehicle belt buckle. Insert the 3-point vehicle belt in the buckle until
you hear a click.
• A child restraint positions your child so that the seat belt fits across the strong bones of the hips and pelvis and not the abdomen, to
protect your child from injury.
• The shoulder portion of the seat belt should be positioned over the chest and collarbone, staying between your child's neck and
shoulder so that it does not touch the neck.
