PRECHARGE MODE
It is possible that the vehicle's battery is too deeply discharged (<3V) and will not fully charge the
STARTRONIC. In that case, the fault indicator (4) turns red during the charge.
The device can be charged in 3 different ways :

The device can be charged in 24V mode from a 12V battery :
1. Fully charge the STARTRONIC in 12V mode.
2. Push the ON / OFF button for a while (~4 sec.), the STARTRONIC will automatically switch to 24V
mode.
BYPASS MODE
If the start has failed in Standard mode and with the precharge, the vehicle's systems may not allow the start as the
battery voltage is < 8V. In that case, follow the BYPASS steps.

Only follow the first step of the precharge mode (see above).

Check the connections before proceeding to the next step.
DO NOT INVERT THE POLARITIES.
Press the ON/OFF button

STARTRONIC 12/24 V
Connect the STARTRONIC to a substitute 12V battery and press the on/off button to
start.
(Full charge will take approximately 2 minutes.)
When the 14V/28V indicator stops blinking, the device is charged and ready to start
your vehicle.
Connect the red clamp to the battery's (+) and the black clamp to the battery's (-).
Press the on/off button (key 2), the 14V/28V indicator comes on.
Start your engine.
When the engine starts, remove the clamps from the vehicle.
to activate the BYPASS mode and wait 5 seconds before starting
Unplug the (+) connector from your battery's terminal
and connect the STARTRONIC's red clamp (+) to it.
Connect the black clamp (-) to the (-) terminal on the
battery.
