This section provides information about preventative maintenance and how to align the printer.
Preventative Maintenance Schedule
Use the following table as a guideline for how often to perform preventative maintenance tasks.
Note: Your system may require more frequent maintenance if used in a dusty area, such as a store or
warehouse.
Before you begin:
1.
Power off the Producer III.
2.
Disconnect the power cord.

Task
Align the printer
Refer to the procedures below for more
information.
Wipe down the lead screw and pay
close attention to:
• the area just above the bearing at the
base of the lead screw
• the area just above the lift arm
Wipe down all surfaces of the
autoloader, including:
• sides and top
• Input bins
• output trays
• output bin
• base (remove the input bin first)
• top surface on the lift arm
Remove dust and debris from the fans
at the back of the autoloader.
Remove dust and debris from the
openings at the back of the autoloader.
Remove the side panels and remove all
dust from the embedded PC.
Align the printer. Refer to the
Printer
instructions on page 16.
