Possible cause
Impeller blocked.
Thermal protection switch has
switched off.
No mains power.
Dry running protection activat-
ed
The suction line is not in the
water.
Pressure line closed off.
Pump drawing in air.
Blockage on the suction side.
Pump has been running dry.
Pressure hose kinked.
Dry running protection activat-
ed.
Diaphragm is damaged
(HW 3600).
Low air pressure in the storage
vessel (HW 3600).
Pump drawing air, water short-
age on suction side.
Leak on the pressure side
(HWA 3600)
Remedy
■
Clean the pump. Release the
motor shaft of the impeller with a
screwdriver.
■
Remove dirt from the suction ar-
ea.
■
Check the water level on the
suction side. Allow the convey-
ing fluid to cool down. Repair or
replace the pump.
■
Wait until the thermal protection
switch on the pump switches on
again. Take note of the maxi-
mum temperature of the convey-
ing medium. Have the pump in-
spected
Check the fuses, have the power
supply checked by a qualified elec-
trician.
Check the suction side.
Submerge the end of the suction line
into the water by min. 30 cm.
Open the closing off devices in the
pressure line.
Check all connections and the cover
on the filter for leaks.
Remove dirt from the suction area.
Fill the pump housing with water.
Extend the pressure hose.
Check the suction side.
Have the diaphragm replaced by AL-
KO Service Department.
Top up the air in the storage vessel.
(Set the diaphragm pressure to 1.5
bar).
Switch pump off and allow to cool.
Check the pressure hose.
