PROBLEM
Significant drop in flow
Water leaks from under
the handle
Water leaks under handle
Diverter cartridge
malfunctions
Thermostatic cartridge
malfunctions
CLEANING FILTER: (Fig. B)
If the mixer flow rate decreases, carry out the following; turn off the main water sup-
ply and using a 14mm hexagonal wrench remove the screws -20- from the bottom of
the mixer. Pull and remove the mixer from its seat. Using a 15mm wremch, tighten the
s-connector 49 enough to lock it in position; using a 30mm wrench, unscrew the filter
seat 47. Slide off the filters 48 (fig.A) and clean them. Reassemble by following the
instructions in reverse order, making sure the s-connector 49 doesn't move while
reassembling the seat 47.
REPLACING THE THERMOSTATIC CARTRIDGE: (Fig. B)
If there's a difference between the temperature of the indicator and the mixer's, carry
out the following: turn off the main water supply, remove the handle cap -1- loosen the
screw -2- slide off the handle -3- and the temperature blocking system -8- unscrew
the lock nut -9- using a 34mm wrench, remove the cartridge -10- insert the new car-
tridge pressing firmly -10- and apply a thin layer of lubricating grease on the o-rings.
To reassemble, proceed in reverse order making sure index -D- is aligned with point
-C- tighten the cartridge with lock nut -9-. Now, adjust the temperature and complete
the assembly by carrying out the same procedures in reverse order. The indicator -E-
of the temperature blocking system -8- must be aligned with point -C-.
REPLACING THE DIVERTER CARTRIDGE: (Fig. B)
Remove the handle cap -1- loosen the screw -2- slide off the handle -16- loosen the
lock nut -15- using a 27mm wrench, remove the cartridge -14- and insert the new car-
tridge. Insert the cartridge centering points into its seat and tighten the lock nut -15-,
assemble the handle -16- aligning point a with point -B-. To reassemble, proceed in
reverse order.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
• Insufficient feed pressure
• Filters blocked
• Cartridge not sufficiently tightened
• O-rings deteriorated
• Water hammers in system
• Water temperature too high (>90°)
• Ring nut tightening
• Temperature does not correspond to
the one selected
SOLUTIONS
• Check system up-line
• Clean filters
• Close ring nut
• Check condition of o-rings
(clean or replace)
• Replace cartridge
• Check system
• Check tightening of ring nut
or replace cartridge
• Adjust or replace cartridge
