3. Trim caulking – Using a razor utility knife, partially remove caulking from
trunk pan to obtain flatter surface as shown in Figure 3, both sides.

5. Tighten all M12 fasteners with torque wrench to 76 Lb.-Ft. (103 N*M).
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
6. Reinstall exhaust – Raise exhaust back into position.

4. Install hitch - Raise hitch into position and align bracket holes with weld nuts
in frame rail. Loosely install M12 bolts and conical washers to hitch, see Figure
1. NOTE: Using wire brush to clean the weldnuts if needed.
