into the back of the bootie.
5.
Locate the leg straps through their buckles, and pull through to
desired position of flexion/adduction as per clinician's instructions.

Color coding on the upper and lower straps prevents misapplication
when re-fitting the harness.
GENERAL INStRUCtIoNS
•
The clinician will determine the number of hours per day the harness
should be worn. Check daily for skin irritation, particularly under
the shoulder straps. If irritation occurs please notify your clinician
immediately.
•
If bathing out of the harness is not allowed, a daily sponge bath
should be substituted. You may unbuckle the shoulder straps one at
a time to change clothing as needed and have a second person hold
the hips in a flexed/abducted position.
•
The Pavlik Harness should be worn over an undershirt and a diaper.
Diaper changing can carry on as usual without interfering with the
harness. Simply fasten the diaper closures under the leg straps.
WASHING INStRUCtIoNS
A damp cloth with mild detergent can be used to clean the harness. Do
not place in a tumble dryer.
