Checking whether the cooker hood is
signed on or signed off
If you want to check whether the cooker
hood is signed on or signed off:
^ Switch off the fan and the hob
lighting.
^ Touch the Run-on sensor m for
approx. 10 seconds until the 1 sensor
lights up.
^ Then press in turn –
– the sensor 1,
– then the sensor 4,
– then the control for the hob lighting n.
If the automatic mode has been
activated, the indicator lamps for fan
power levels 2 and 3 will light up
continuously.
If the automatic mode has not been
activated, the indicator lamps for fan
power levels 2 and 3 will flash
simultaneously.
^ Press the control for the run-on option
m to come out of the checking
mode. All the indicator lamps will go
out.
If communication cannot be
established even although the cooker
hood and the hob have been signed
on, both appliances must be signed
off and then signed on again.

Signing off
To sign off the cooker hood:
^ Switch off the fan and the hob
lighting.
^ Touch the Run-on sensor m for
approx. 10 seconds until the 1 sensor
lights up.
^ Then press in turn –
– the sensor 1,
– then the sensor 4,
– then the control for the hob lighting n.
If automatic mode has been activated,
the indicator lamps for fan power levels
2 and 3 will light up continuously.
^ Press the sensor 1 to deactivate
automatic mode.
After the signing off process has been
completed successfully, the indicator
lamps for fan power levels 2 and 3 will
flash simultaneously.
^ Confirm signing off with the control
for the run-on option m. All the
indicator lamps will go out.
If you do not confirm within 4 minutes,
the cooker hood will not be signed off.
^ Sign off the hob. Please refer to the
fitting and installation instructions
supplied with communication module
XKM 2000/2100 KM*** for information
on how to do this.
^ Then sign on the appliances again as
described previously.
