Measuring capacitance in (2 nF to 200 μF range )
1. Connect the multifunction adapter to the "COM" and "mAhFE TEMP" terminals.
2. Connect the capacitor in the Cx - K+ terminals.
3. Verify the polarity of the capacitor (long tip is positive and short tip is negative).
4. Turn the knob to the capacitor scale.
Measuring transistors
Before the measurement, make sure the transistor is disconnected from any circuit.
1. Realize the same connections for capacitance measurement.
2. Identify the type of transistor (NPN or PNP).
3. Place each prong of the connectors in the correct adaptor, identifying collector (c), base (b),
and emitter (e).
In case of not knowing the configuration of the prongs of the transistor, introduce them in
different configurations until a reading appears on the screen. The displayed reading will be
the hFE correct position for the transistor.
