QUICk RELEASE ChUCk (FIGURE D, E)
NOTE: The chuck accepts 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) hex
accessories only.
WARNING:
Ensure the tool is unplugged to prevent
switch actuation before installing or removing accessories.
• To install an accessory, firmly insert the accessory
completely into the quick release chuck (4) until an
audible click is heard and verify the accessory is locked
into place by tugging on it.
• To remove an accessory, pull the chuck collar (3) away
from the front of the tool, remove the accessory and
release the collar.
NOTE: The quick release chuck is spring-loaded. The
accessory will be ejected when the chuck collar is pulled
forward.
BIT TIP STORAGE
A magnetic bit storage slot (5) is built into the top of the tool
for easy bit storage and access.
BELT CLIP (FIGURE F)
WARNING:
Ensure the tool is unplugged to prevent
switch actuation before installing or removing accessories.
A belt clip (6) is provided which can be switched to either
side of the tool based on user preference for convenient
access and storage during use.
• Attach the belt clip by inserting the tab on the belt clip into
the slot on the drill handle as shown in figure F.
• Secure the belt clip to the handle with the supplied screw
and firmly tighten with a phillips screwdriver.

Possible Cause
• Cord not plugged in.
• Circuit fuse is blown.
• Circuit breaker is tripped.
• Cord or switch is damaged.

• Plug tool into a working outlet.
• Replace circuit fuse. (If the
product repeatedly causes the
circuit fuse to blow, discontinue
use immediately and have it
serviced at a Porter Cable service
center or authorized servicer.)
