OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRESSURE TESTING FEATURE:
1. Close the exhaust valve (removing the exhaust hose is optional)
2. Attach tool to cooling system (see #2 under ATTACH TOOL TO COOLING SYSTEM)
3. Before attaching air supply line CLOSE AIR INLET VALVE (handle perpendicular to
the valve body). Install shop air hose to the air inlet valve.
4. Open air inlet valve SLOWLY to reach desired pressure. The tool has a blow off
spring set to release between 14 and 16 psi.
5. When desired pressure is achieved, close air inlet valve. If gauge holds steady
there are no leaks.
6. Remove airline and release pressure using the rotating handle of the cap
assembly. Do not release pressure with the air inlet valve as this may cause
coolant to be expelled through the tool and out the air fitting!
NOTE:
To attach the pump to the adaptor or cap opening keep the locking ears in line with the entrance
notches of the opening. Press down slightly and rotate the tester head LEVER clockwise until the lever
climbs up, onto (Fig. 1) and completely over ramp cams (Fig. 2) so that the tester head is fully engaged.
