CHOOSE
THE PROPER LOCATION
• Store and install the dryer where it will not be exposed
to temperatures
below freezing
or exposed to outdoor
weather
conditions.
• Choose a location
with a solid, level floor.
• If the dryer is being installed in a garage,
place the
dryer at least 18 inches (45.7cm)
above the floor.
• Properly ground the dryer to conform
with all
governing
codes and ordinances.
• To reduce the risk of electric
shock, do not install the
dryer in clamp or wet locations.
NOTE: Installing the dryer in a humid space, or installing or
storing the dryer where it will be exposed to the weather or
freezing
temperatures,
may result in rust or other dam-
age that is not covered by the product warranty.

CLEARANCES
• Most installations
require a minimum 5 inch (12.7 cm)
clearance
behind the dryer for the exhaust ducting.
• Allow minimum
clearances
of at least 1 inch (2.5 cm)
on the sides and back to minimize vibration
and noise.
• Allowing
additional
clearance
for installation
and
servicing
is recommended.
• Be sure to allow for wall, door, or floor moldings that
may increase the required
clearances.
• Allow at least 22 1/2 inches (57.3 cm) in front of the
dryer to open the door.
