Installation in the vehicle

For the safety of your child, check before
each journey that:
the head restraint and the child seat belts
^
are correctly adjusted.
the belts on the child seat are not twisted.
^
the belt tongues are engaged in the belt
^
buckle.
the belts on the child seat fit snugly across
^
the body without restricting the child.
the lap belts are as low as possible over
^
the child's groin.
Installation in the vehicle

WARNING
Make sure that:
the seat backrests are locked in place
^
(e.g. folding rear bench seat engaged).
all heavy and sharp-edged objects are
^
secured in the vehicle (e.g. on the parcel
shelf).
all vehicle occupants have their seat
^
belts fastened.
even an unused child seat is correctly
^
installed in the vehicle.
In the event of an accident, abrupt braking
maneuver or a sudden change in direction,
unsecured objects or persons could injure
other vehicle occupants.
Caution Using child seats may result in wear
marks on some vehicle seat covers made from
sensitive materials (e.g. velour, leather, etc.).
Caution When installing and removing child
seats, make sure that the vehicle interior is
not damaged.
Caution When installing the child seat, make
sure that the seat belt for the center seat in
the vehicle does not get trapped. Otherwise,
the seat belt could be damaged.
Installation with the vehicle's 3-point
seat belt
DANGER!

The seat belt must not be passed through
between the child seat and the belts of the
child seat.
Otherwise the child is not secured
correctly and, in the event of an accident,
abrupt braking maneuver or a sudden
change in direction, the child may be
seriously or fatally injured.
DANGER!

The seat belt must be pulled tight and must
not be twisted. If the seat belt of the child
seat is incorrectly secured or is not
secured at all, in the event of an accident,
abrupt braking maneuver or a sudden
change in direction, the child may
otherwise not be restrained and may be
seriously or fatally injured.

2. Place the child seat on a suitable vehicle

seat against the direction of travel and
secure it against tipping over.
Note: The inclination of the child seat is
correct if there is a space of about two fingers
at the front between the child seat and the
seat surface of the vehicle seat. (Arrow)
