INSTRUCTIONS ON USE
DESCRIPTION
The TEK is a flush-mounted electronic ambience thermostat.
Characteristics
 Control options for heating and cooling (only in SW models).
 Temperature regulation of +5ºC to +30ºC.
 Option for manual OFF (not available in SW models).
 Manual changeover to nighttime mode (5 ºC less than the regulated
Temperature).
 Battery state test.
WARNING: The installation and mounting of electrical appliances must be
carried out by an authorised installer. Before connecting, it must be
ensured that the corresponding cables do not carry power.
The appliance is internally protected against interference.

Heating and/or cooling
To control an installation using contactors, it is recommended to install a
capacitor of suitable value (0.1µF at 275 Vac) in its winding.
INSTALLATION: Flush-mounted electronic control device in mechanism
box. The appliance is dimensioned to be installed in a flush-mounted, 3-
module mechanism box.
The chronothermostat TEK must be Installed at an approximate height of
150 cm from the floor, flush-mounted in the wall and protected from direct
sunlight and all heat sources (lamps and heaters etc.) or air currents.
The TEK is designed to be installed using frame of the following makes:
BTICINO (series Living Internacional, Axolute, Light and Mastik), VIMAR
(series Idea, Rondo, Plana and Eikon), LEGRAND (series Vela and Cross),
GEWISS (series Chorus Lux and Art).
The TEK thermostat is installed by following these steps:
1. Depending on the frame to use, the distance between the frame
installation accessory and the adjustable base may vary. This distance is
regulated by removing or leaving the nylon spacers on the screws that join
the metal clamps to the adjustable base (loosen the screw in order to
remove the nylon spacer).
The frames that do not have nylon spacers are: Series Axolute and Light
from BTICINO, series Vela from LEGRAND, and the series Chorus Lux
and Art from GEWISS.

2. The cables are connected and must leave the mechanism box via the
adjustable base according to the connection diagram.
3. The adjustable base is fixed to the frame fastening accessory by means
of two screws that will be screwed into the rubber washers.
4. In order to adjust the TEK to the width of the frame housing, which varies
according to model, we employ the supplied lateral supplementary parts.
Each supplement is engraved with its corresponding series. Select the
correct ones and insert them into the slots on the adjustable base as shown
in figure 4.
