the transmitter. Lay the cable to
the door chime and attach the
microphone to the door chime by
peeling off the paper circle to reve-
al the sticky ring beneath.
For optimal operation of the trans-
mitter the sensitivity may be adju-
sted so that only the doorbell acti-
vates the transmitter and not bak-
kground noise.
Setting the sensitivity
1. Set the sensitivity controller to
its lowest level (turn to the anti-
clockwise to stop)
2. Activate the doorbell and gradu-
ally increase the sensitivity of the
transmitter (by turning the dial
clockwise) until the transmitter
reacts to the doorbell.
3. If your intercom system opera-
tes with different signal tones,
make sure that both signal tones
are reliably detected.
Telephone connection
Plug the transmitter into a conve-
nient mains socket. Plug the end
of the cable with the transparent
clip-in connector (6-pin plug) into
the socket at the underside of the
transmitter. Plug the other end into
the telephone socket.
If the required telephone socket is
in use plug a 3-way telephone
adaptor into the socket and plug
your telephone into one of the
sockets on the adaptor.
Warning
Only use the supplied telephone

connection is required to a digital
system (e.g. ISDN or part of a PBX

Telephone Transmitter- Acoustic or
the Universal lisa.
Important note
All lisa devices connected to the
mains supply have a low power
consumption which may lead to
the device feeling warm. This is
normal and does not interfere with
the normal function of the devices.
These signalling systems have a
high operational safety. Should any
faults occur in spite of proper
installation and use, please contact
your dealer.
High and low voltage spikes (e.g.
during a thunderstorm) can occur
on the mains supply. The lisa devi-
ces have an integrated electronic
controller which may stop working
after these conditions. If this hap-
pens simply unplug each of the
devices and plug them in again.
As a precaution remove all devi-
ces from their sockets during a
thunderstorm.
