2 Sollen zwei Eingangssignale bzw. ein Stereo-
Signal auf jeweils 5 Ausgänge verteilt werden
(Betriebs art STEREO),
a die Signalquelle 1 bzw. den linken Kanal des
Ste reo-Geräts an den Eingang (13) von Ka nal 1
an schließen und die Verstärker, auf die das
Signal verteilt werden soll, an die Ausgänge
(11) von Ka nal 1;
b die Signalquelle 2 bzw. den rechten Kanal des
Ste reo-Geräts an den Eingang (12) von Ka nal 2
an schließen und die Verstärker, auf die das
Signal verteilt werden soll, an die Ausgänge
(10) von Ka nal 2.
4.2 Stromversorgung
1) Soll das Gerät bei einem Netzausfall weiterarbei-
ten, an die Schraubklemmen DC POWER (9)
eine 24-V-Notstromeinheit (z. B. PA-24ESP von
MONACOR) anschließen. Beim An schluss unbe-
dingt die richtige Polarität beachten. Zur besse-
ren Hand habung lassen sich die Klemmen von
ihrer Steckverbindung abziehen.
Hinweis: Das Gerät geht in Betrieb, sobald es
über die Notstromversorgung gespeist
wird [Betriebsanzeige (5) leuchtet]. Es
lässt sich dann mit dem Schalter
POWER (6) nicht ausschalten, son-
dern nur zwischen Netz- und Notstrom-
versorgung um schalten.
2) Das beiliegende Netzkabel mit der Netzbuchse
(7) verbinden und den Stecker des Kabels in eine
Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.
4.1 Inputs and outputs
The balanced XLR input jacks allow connection of
up to 2 units with line output (e. g. CD players, mix-
ers) and the balanced XLR outputs up to 10 ampli-
fiers (or other units with line input to which the sig-
nals are to be split). If required, use adapters from
phono or 6.3 mm jack to XLR.
The connection depends on the operating mode:
1 For splitting one input signal to all 10 outputs
(operating mode MONO),
connect the signal source to the input (13) of
channel 1 and the amplifiers to the outputs
[(10) and (11)].
2 For splitting two inputs signals or one stereo sig-
nal to 5 outputs each (operating mode STEREO),
a connect the signal source 1 or the left channel
of the stereo unit to the input (13) of channel 1
and the amplifiers to which the signal is to be
split to the outputs (11) of channel 1;
b connect the signal source 2 or the right chan-
nel of the stereo unit to the input (12) of chan-
nel 2 and the amplifiers to which the signal is to
be split to the outputs (10) of channel 2.
4.2 Power supply
1) For continued operation of the unit after a power
failure, connect a 24 V emergency power supply
unit (e. g. PA-24ESP from MONACOR) to the
screw terminals DC POWER (9). Observe in any
case the correct polarity when connecting. To
facilitate handling, the terminals can be removed
from their plug-in connections.
Note: The unit starts to operate as soon as it is
supplied with power via the emergency
power supply [power LED (5) lights up]. In
this case it cannot be switched off with the
switch POWER (6) but only be switched
between mains supply and emergency
power supply and vice versa.
5 Bedienung
1) Ist keine Notstromversorgung angeschlossen,
das Gerät mit dem Schalter POWER (6) ein-
schalten. Die Betriebsanzeige (5) leuchtet.
Ist eine Notstromversorgung angeschlossen,
leuchtet die Betriebs anzeige ständig und das Ge -
rät ist immer in Betrieb. Mit dem Schalter POWER
lässt sich dann nur zwischen Netzversorgung und
Notstromversorgung umschalten. Für den Netz-
betrieb den Schalter POWER in die Position I
(„Ein") stellen (Schalterstellung wie in Abb. 1). Bei
einem Netzausfall schaltet das Gerät dann auto-
matisch auf die Notstromversorgung um.
2) Die angeschlossenen Geräte einschalten, zuletzt
die Geräte, die an den Ausgängen an ge schlos -
sen sind.
3) Die Betriebsart auswählen:
Betriebsart MONO
Soll das Eingangssignal von Kanal 1 auf alle
Ausgänge [(10) und (11)] gegeben werden,
die Taste MODE (2) drücken.
Betriebsart STEREO
Soll das Eingangssignal von Kanal 1 auf die
Ausgänge von Kanal 1 (11) gegeben werden
und das Eingangssignal von Kanal 2 auf die
Ausgänge von Kanal 2 (10), muss die Taste
MODE (2) ausgerastet sein.
4) Die LEDs PEAK (1), jeweils für Kanal 1 und Ka -
nal 2, dienen als Übersteuerungsanzeigen für die
Eingangssignale. Sie sollten gar nicht bzw. nur
bei Signalspitzen kurz aufleuchten. Leuchtet eine
LED permanent, muss der Ausgangspegel der
jeweiligen Signalquelle re du ziert werden.

2) Connect the supplied mains cable to the mains
jack (7) and the plug of the cable to a mains
socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
5 Operation
1) If no emergency power supply is connected,
switch on the unit with the POWER switch (6).
The power LED (5) lights up.
If an emergency power supply is connected,
the power LED lights up permanently and the unit
is always in operation. In this case the POWER
switch only allows to switch between mains sup-
ply and emergency power supply and vice versa.
For the mains supply set the POWER switch to
position I ("On") [switch position as in fig. 1]. In
case of a power failure the unit will then automat-
ically switch to emergency power supply.
2) Switch on the units connected, the units which
are connected to the outputs last.
3) Select the operating mode:
Operating mode MONO
For feeding the input signal of channel 1 to all
outputs [(10) and (11)] press button MODE (2).
Operating mode STEREO
For feeding the input signal of channel 1 to the
outputs of channel 1 (11) and the input signal
of channel 2 to the outputs of channel 2 (10),
button MODE (2) must be disengaged.
4) The LEDs PEAK (1), each for channel 1 and
channel 2, serve as peak LEDs for the input sig-
nals. They should not light up at all or only light
up shortly with signal peaks. If an LED lights up
permanently, the output level of the respective
signal source must be reduced.
5) With the controls LEVEL the levels for the outputs
can individually be adjusted:
the 5 level controls CHANNEL 1 LEVEL (3)
for the 5 outputs (11) of channel 1

6) Zum Ausschalten des Geräts den Schalter
POWER in die Position „Aus" stellen bzw. bei
angeschlossener Notstromversorgung zusätzlich
die Notstromeinheit abklemmen.
