Model VC 1430MS is designed to vacuum the dust
generated during operating a power tool. For this pur-
pose model VC 1430MS is equipped with a built-in
socket (7), for inserting the cable plug of the power
tool. The vacuum cleaner will switch on automatically
as soon as you switch on the power tool. When you
switch off the power tool, the vacuum cleaner will also
switch off after a pre-set delay.

PRIOR TO INITIAL OPERATION

▪ Make sure power supply voltage corresponds
to the value indicated on the name plate with
technical data of the appliance.
▪ Make sure the cable and the plug are in order.
If the replacement of the supply cable is neces-
sary, this has to be done by the manufacturer or
his agent in order to avoid a safety hazard.
▪ It is absolutely necessary for you to read, under-
stand, and observe the section entitled "Safety
instructions for vacuum cleaners".

DRY VACUUM CLEANING

WARNING: Never vacuum up hazard-
ous materials.
If an incorrect dust bag is used, then the guaran-
tee becomes void.
▪ Make sure that the appliance is not plugged into
the power mains.
▪ Carefully pull the dry filter over the filter basket
(6).
▪ Check to make sure that the dry filter complete-
ly covers the filter basket. Also check to make
sure that all corners of the dry filter are being
held in place by the fastening ring.
▪ Slide the dust bag over the hose connection
(Fig.14) in the tank. Press it until it snaps firmly
into place (Fig.15). In the process, make sure
that the dust bag is not damaged.
▪ Place the upper section on the tank once again
and close the clamps (Fig.7), (Fig.8).
▪ Place the large end of the hose on the front air
intake stub on the tank (Fig.9).
▪ Select the desired nozzle (15, 17, 25) or the tele-
scopic tube (14); connect it to the vacuum hose
(13) and connect the end of the hose to the air
intake stub on the appliance.
▪ Make sure that the ON/OFF switch (2) on the
appliance is in the "OFF" position "O" before
you insert the power plug into the socket.
▪ Insert the power plug into the socket.

EN
▪ Switch the motor on (ON/OFF switch in position
"I").
▪ When you have finished vacuuming, switch the
motor off by putting the ON/OFF switch (3) into
the „OFF" position "O".
▪ Unplug the vacuum cleaner.
Check the dust bag (24) regularly and change it
when it is 2/3 full. The bag is designed in such way
that only air, and no dust, can pass through the
paper.
Therefore a used dust bag may not be reused.
NOTE: Don't use the dust bag for vacuuming up
objects with sharp edges or wet objects.
Pleated filter
When using the pleated filter, no dust bag is nec-
essary.
Place the pleated filter (18) on the filter basket (6)
(Fig.16a). Close the filter basket (6) by the locking
cap and screw the cap (Fig. 16b). After extended
use, the pleated filter can be cleaned by banging it
out or brushing it out.
When vacuuming concrete or similar materials,
generating fine dust, as well as during automatic
mode with power tools (VC 1430MS), the pleated
filter must be brushed and dusted off more often.
This is an important prerequisite for the reliable
operation and long life of your vacuum cleaner. If
you notice that the suction force decreases or in
case you ascertain that the pleated filter is dam-
aged, you must replace it immediately with a new
one.
AUTOMATIC MODE WITH POWER TOOLS
(VC 1430MS)
▪ Make sure that the appliance is not plugged into
the power mains.
▪ Open the clamps and remove the upper sec-
tion.
▪ Check to make sure that the tank (10) is free of
dust and dirt.
▪ Place а pleated filter (18), appropriate for the in-
tended operation, in the filter basket and screw
the cap on the filter basket. Place back the up-
per section on the tank and close the clamps
(Fig.16c).
▪ Set the ON/OFF switch of the power tool you
intend to operate to the "OFF" position "O".
▪ Connect the vacuum cleaner adapter (22) to the
dust extraction of the power tool (Fig.17).
▪ Plug the power tool into the built-in socket (7) of
the vacuum cleaner.
▪ Insert the vacuum cleaner plug into the mains
supply socket.
