VTrak E-Class Quick Start Guide
Use the virtual management port IP address to connect with WebPAM PROe.
See "Logging into WebPAM PROe" on page 29.
Use the maintenance mode IP address to connect to a controller when it enters
maintenance mode . For more information, see the VTrak E-Class Product
Manual on the CD.
Setting-up VTrak with the CLI
Setting System Date and Time
To set the subsystem's date and time, type the following string and press Enter.
administrator@cli> date -a mod -d 2010/06/25 -t 14:50:05
In the above example, the date and time are included as examples only. Your
values will be different. Use yyyyy/mm/dd for the date and a 24-hour clock for the
time.
Making Virtual Management Port Settings – Manually
To make the settings manually, type the following string and press Enter:
administrator@cli> net -a mod -f ipv4 -s "primaryip=192.168.20.63,
primaryipmask=255.255.255.0, gateway=192.168.10.1"
The settings above are included as an example. Your values will be different.
Making Virtual Management Port Settings – DHCP
DHCP is supported under IPv4 only.
To let your DHCP server make the settings, type the following string and press
Enter:
administrator@cli> net -a mod -f ipv4 -s "dhcp=enable"
Verifying Your Settings
To verify your settings, type net and press Enter.
