Troubleshoot the Transfer Valve (cont.)
Carefully remove the rectangular seals from the cartridge and set
them on a clean, soft surface.
Slowly work the transfer tube out of the cartridge body. Do not
misplace or damage the transfer tube O-rings.
Lift the poppet out of the cartridge.
Carefully clean the poppet and transfer tube with hot water. Do
not use solvents to clean the components.
Reassemble the Transfer Valve
IMPORTANT! Use care to prevent pinching or scoring the seals or
O-rings.
Reinstall the poppet into the cartridge.
Carefully slip the transfer tube back into the cartridge. Slightly
twist the transfer tube back and forth to ease reassembly.
Align the port holding the O-ring on the transfer tube with the
large port on the side of the cartridge.
Align the two locking tabs on the collar with the slots on the
transfer tube.
Snap the collar in place to fully engage the locking tabs.
Inspect the rectangular seals for dirt or damage and reinstall the
seals to the cartridge.
Carefully press the cartridge into the brass body until the collar
tabs engage into the notch of the brass body.
Hand tighten the plated nut to the brass body. Do not
overtighten.
