Operating the appliance
Caution! Never leave the appliance unattended when the power cord is plugged in.
Do not use the appliance if it is damaged in any way or does not function properly. In this case,
contact the service centre (see "Warranty Information").
The use of accessories and replacement parts not recommended by the manufacturer can cause
damage to the appliance and personal injury.
Note: Please take note of the information below on how to set the appliance.
The power level (watts) or temperature (degrees ° C), and the cooking time (hours/minutes), where
applicable, can be adjusted.
Power levels:
Temperature settings: 60/80/100/120/140/160/180/200/220/240 (° C)
Timer:
Always first place the suitable cookware with food or water for cooking (see "Induction-compatible
cookware") centred on the hotplate. Otherwise it will malfunction (see "Safety features").
Plug the power cord into a wall socket. An acoustic signal sounds and the display shows
„Stby" (Stand-by), to confirm the device is ready for use.
Press the ON/OFF button to turn the appliance on (applies to the right and left hotplate at the same
time). An acoustic signal sounds. (A short acoustic signal is heard every time you press a button).
Select the mode with the function selector switch for WATT / TEMPERATURE / TIMER.
The power level (watts) is displayed first. Press again to change mode.
Press the "higher" or "lower" buttons to adjust the respective level.
You can preset a cooking time, change or check the current status of the remaining cooking time
with the "TIMER" button. You can set the cooking time from 1 minute (0:01) up to 3 hours (3:00,
equivalent to 180 minutes).
To apply the selected time, wait a few seconds without pressing other buttons. The timer is active.
As soon as you have set the timer, the currently selected/remaining cooking time appears in
hours:minutes, alternating with the watt or temperature indication.
As soon as the indicator light above it goes out, the timer is off. Then the last power or temperature
level setting (e.g. 7 or 180) is displayed. When the time has run its course, you will hear an acoustic
signal and the appliance goes into standby mode.
Please note: When a setting is not changed within about 3 seconds while the display is flashing, the
appliance adopts the last displayed or set value.
To stop the cooking or warming process without preset time, turn the appliance off with the ON/OFF
button. If the device will not further used immediately, then unplug it in order to completely disconnet
the device from the power supply.
Note: If the appliance displays one of the error codes E01 – E03 (except E0), unplug the power
cord first. Then, try to restart the appliance.
Caution! Always switch the appliance off after use and unplug it.
