HANGING METHOD ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. MODIFICATION TO STUD LAYOUT
If adhesive method is not being used and the stud
pocket layout does not match the figure in the
INITIAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS, then you
must fasten 2 in. x 4 in. wood headers (not included)
to the existing stud pocket to accommodate the
mounting of the hanging rails. Place headers on the
side walls of the stud pocket, centered 72-1/2 in.
above the shower base between the existing studs.
Lower side wall headers should be centered at 4-1/4
in. above the shower base between the existing
studs.
2. HANGING RAIL
Install the top of the hanging rails (C) 73 in.
above the shower base and 6-1/2 in. from the
back of the stud pocket with screws (AA). The lower
hanging rails (C) top should be 4-3/4 in. above the
top of the shower base. Use a level (not included)
to ensure the hanging rail (C) is positioned correctly.

3. SIDE PANELS
Some plumbing fixtures may not allow for the use of
the hanging rail system, due to tight tolerances of the
cutouts in the panels. When this occurs, follow the
ADHESIVE MOUNTING INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS on page 5. Otherwise, locate the
location of the plumbing holes; if no plumbing holes
exist, proceed to Step 4. Transfer the data to the
left side panel (A) or right side panel (B). If a shower
arm is placed within the walls of the unit, the hole for
the shower arm should be placed 1-1/2 in. from
the top of the required side panel. This is to ensure
the shower arm does not interfere with the hanging
rail and is supported by the reinforced backer located
in this position. Using a jig saw or standard bi-metal
hole saw (neither included), cut out the plumbing
holes. Protect the finish surface with masking tape
(not included) where the saw will contact the surface.
