Check battery

Raise seat pan to highest position.
Note: Should the battery be first used after
the month and year stated on the label
(located between the terminals), charge it for
at least one hour at 6 - 10 A (see "Battery"
in the Maintenance section of this Manual, to
check load instructions.
Note: The tractor may now be pushed or
driven out of the base. Follow the
instructions below before removing the
tractor from the base.
Warning!
Before starting, read, understand and
follow all the instructions in the
Operation section of the manual. Be
sure tractor the tractor is in a well-
ventilated area. Be sure the area in
front of the tractor is clear of people
or objects.

Pre-operation

To roll tractor off skid

(see Operation section for location and
function of controls)
1. Press lift lever plunger and raise attachment
lift lever to its highest position.
2. Release parking brake by depressing clutch/
brake pedal.
3 Place motion control lever in neutral (N)
position.
4 Roll tractor forward off skid.
5. Remove banding holding deflector shield up
against tractor.

To drive tractor off skid

(see Operation section for location and
function of controls)
1. Check engine oil level and fill fuel tank with
gasoline.
2. Sit on seat in operating position, depress
clutch/brake pedal and set the parking
brake.
3. Place motion control lever in neutral (N)
position.
4. Press lift lever plunger and raise attachment
lift lever to its highest position.
5. Remove key from packing and start the
engine (see "To start the engine", in the
Operation section of this Manual). With
engine running, move throttle control to
slow position.
6. Depress clutch/brake pedal to "Brake"
position and hold it. Move motion control
lever to first gear.
7. Slowly release clutch/brake pedal and drive
tractor off skid.
