INSTALLATION
Rough-In Section
1. Fixture Attachment Method: Install fixture into ceiling
cavity using 1/2˝ electrical conduit. Use 3/4˝ channel,
1-1/2˝ channel, 1/8˝ x 1/2˝ bar stock, or T-bar fasteners
as mounting rails (furnished by others) by inserting
them through hanger brackets at both sides.
2. Remove overspray protector. Adjust (4) #6 screws such
that the bottom of the collar if flush with the finished
ceiling. If the ceiling is greater than 7/8" [22.0mm] and
less than 1-1/4" [31.8mm], a collar adaptor is required
(see figure 2a and 2b).
3. Hanger bar bracket should be adjusted as needed
(screws, see figure 3).
4. See chart above for appropriate cut-outs (square vs.
round, standard vs. rimless).
5. For situations where the housing lid is accessible after
housing installation, see figure 4 for removal (removing
the housing lid makes many of the upcoming tasks
easier to perform).
