5.6 Frequency measurement
Only VT Digi Pro
► To activate the function, briefly press the
function key three times.
The symbol for frequency measurement (Hz) is
displayed.
Frequency measurement is only possible with
voltages above 10 V. The voltage is indicated by
the bar graph.
► Connect both test probes to the test object.
The frequency between 1 Hz and 400 Hz is dis-
played.
5.7 HOLD function
Only VT Digi Pro
This function is used to hold the displayed value.
The function can be used for voltage testing,
resistance measurement and frequency meas-
urement.
While the function is active, you cannot switch
between the measurement modes!
► To activate the function, press and hold the
test key for a few seconds.
The HOLD indicator appears in the display. The
displayed value is held.
► To release the display, briefly press the test
key.
6 Maintenance, cleaning, storage
6.1 Changing the batteries
Low battery voltage is displayed as follows:
VT Master, VT Combi Pro
The continuity LED flashes.
VT Digi Pro
The battery symbol is displayed.
Make sure that the test probes are dis-
connected from the test object before you
open the battery compartment.
► Open the battery compartment (using a
crosshead screwdriver).
► Remove the old batteries.
► Insert the new batteries in the right direction
so that the polarity is correct (type AAA, IEC
LR03 1.5 V).
► Close the battery compartment.
A self-test is performed automatically after every
battery change.
Leaking batteries can damage the device.

6.2 Cleaning
Disconnect the device from all measuring
circuits before starting cleaning.
Use a damp cloth and a mild household cleaner
for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or
