Installation

Open the energizer

*Note: Remove plastic terminal covers from
the battery before connecting the solar panel
leads.

Connect leads
Connect green ground (earth) lead to ground
stake. (Install stake at least 2' (60cm) into ground.)
Connect red fence lead to fence wire or reel. The
solar panel should always face towards the equator.
i.e. in the northern hemisphere, panel faces south,
in the southern hemisphere, panel faces north.
Avoid placing in a shady area.

Switch ON
Indicator light flashes with each fence pulse, to tell you
that your S17/S22 is working. Automatic battery save
mode saves the battery by slowing the pulse at night.
To maximise power output, keep the solar panel
surface clean. (Clean it with
water and a mild detergent
using a soft cloth or
sponge).
Connection to mains-operated
equipment prohibited, including battery
chargers.
