Fig. 5 A
Step 3 Screw by 1/2 turn (each turn equals a 0.5 mm
progress) after the tooth is engaged in the stroke (see
figure n. 6) and repeat the same steps until the fracture
of the maxillary sinus floor detected by the probe
advance in the apex direction is reached.
Ref 4338-SinCrest drill HB Ø 3.2: this drill must be used
in case of hard bone encountered during the screwing
stage of the SinCrest Ø 3.0 device. This drill does not
require positioning a stop since it must simply widen
the hole without working in depth. Prepare the site
until the desired depth has been achieved. The
osteotomy may be resumed by means of the SinCrest
Ø 3.0 device. Proceed to insert the bio-material or the
dental implant directly. Restore the position of the flap
and suture.
If bone is available, the surgical procedure may be
continued as illustrated in the following steps so as to
position a dental implant with a wide diameter.
Ref 4381-SinCrest drill Ø 4.0: the use of this drill must
always be preceded by the SinCrest drill Ø 3.0. This
drill does not require a stop since it must simply widen
the hole without working in depth. Prepare the site
until the desired depth is achieved by means of the
SinCrest drill Ø 3.0.

depth achieved during osteotomy.
Ref 4334-SinCrest Ø 4.0:
Step 0 Gradually screw the device inside the dedicated
guide hole. The device has achieved the depth obtained
by means of the drills when the black mark emerges
during the progress of the probe as compared to the
grip (see figure n. 3).
Step 1 Turn the handle anti-clockwise by 1/2 revolution
and at the same time implement an axial pressure,
start the osteotomy with "back and forth" turning
movements by 1/2 turn until the distance (0.5mm)
between the tooth and the stroke is zero (see figure n.
4 - 5 A).
By manually implementing pressure on the probe (see
figure n. 5 B), constantly check the residual strength
of the maxillary sinus floor.
Ref 4340-SinCrest drill HB Ø 4.2: this drill must be used
in case of hard bone encountered during the screwing
stage of the SinCrest Ø 4.0 device. This drill does not
require positioning a stop since it must simply widen
the hole without working in depth. Prepare the site
until the desired depth is achieved. The osteotomy may
be resumed by means of the SinCrest Ø 4.0 device.
Proceed to insert the biomaterial or the dental implant
directly. Restore the position of the flap and suture.
Stop positioning
8 stops are available for different depths (4-5-6-7-8-
9-10 and 11m) with laser marks for easier identification.
The stops are organised in sequence in the dedicated
housings in the tray. Their positioning on the Probe
Drill Ø 1.2 and SinCrest drill Ø 3.0 takes place directly
by simply inserting the drill (see figure n. 7) mounted
on the contra-angle hand-piece, directly in the desired
depth stop. The stop already used may be temporarily
positioned in the stop housing, thus avoiding the direct
contact with the operator's hands.
To avoid the accidental fall of the stops, slide the cover
into the lock position.
