Use:
To select the unit of measurement (millimetres/inches), keep the "MODE" button pressed until the word "UNIT" appears; now
press the "SET" button to make the selection.
The vernier can work both in the mobile zero mode or without mobile zero setting.
To make this selection, press the "MODE" button, until the "REF" function is reached; then press the "SET" button to select
either "REL" or "ABS".
The "REL" option allows incremental measurements to be made, zero-setting the vernier at any position.
The "ABS" option cancels the previous function.
Pressing the "SET" button in the "ABS" mode will allow the letter "H" to be shown on the display; the measured data can now
be stored, and a new measurement can be started, which will not cause the previous measurement to be removed from the
screen. To display the second measurement, just press "SET" again; the measured data will appear immediately.
Maintenance:
When " " appears, it means that the battery is flat and should be replaced.
Erratic display with sudden voltage changes also shows a dead battery which should be replaced.
No display may be indicative of poor contact of the battery poles. Please clean them and check contact.
To replace the battery, unscrew the screw on the back (see figure).
In case some liquid enters the battery compartment, immediately blow the area at a temperature lower than 40 °C.
