2. Pull the crown out to position "2". Two digits for the date will flash.
3. At this time you may choose whether you want the full date to read as
the Month/Date/Year (U.S. format), or; show as Date/Month/Year
(European format). The display on top will indicate "D M" for
Date/Month, or as "M D" for Month/Date. Simply push button "A" once
to switch the display. Also, the flashing date digits will change position
with the display change.
4. Now, set the flashing date digits by turning the crown in either direction.
5. Push button "B". The digits for the Month will flash. Set by turning the
crown.
6. Push button "B" once more. Four digits for the year will flash. Set the
correct year by using the crown.
7. Now, you can choose the language for the day of the week display.
Push and HOLD button "A". A letter, representing the language, will
flash at the upper right. Turn the crown to select your preference - "E"
for English language; "F" for French: "S" for Spanish; and , "D" for German.
8. Push the crown back in to normal position.
9. The WEEK NUMBER is automatically programmed with the above
steps. It's display at the upper right is optional. It can be turned ON or
OFF, in this display mode, by pushing button "A".
D. SETTING THE SECONDARY or TIME ZONE FUNCTION (T 2)
Note: This second time can be set with a maximum variation of plus or
minus one day from the timeset into the normal time in the preceding
section "1. B". Therefore, when you are setting the date for this function in
step 7 below, you can adjust it to only one day ahead, or one day back.
1. With the crown in position "1", change to mode "T1" or "T2" (at upper
left) by turning the crown.
2. If "T1" shows, push button "B" once to change mode indication to "T2".
If "T2" is already showing, go to the next step.
3. Pull crown out to position "2". The digital hours will flash.
4. At this time you have the option of choosing a 12 hour AM/PM time
display for the digital time (with "AM" or "PM" showing at the upper
right), or; a 24 hour, military time display (no display on the upper right).
To change this display, push the "A" button.
5. Now, set the hours, forward or backwards, depending on the direction
that the crown is turned.
6. To activate minutes setting, push button "B". The digital minutes will
flash. Set the minutes by turning the crown in either direction.
7. Push button "B" once more. The display at the bottom will switch to the
date. Adjust it to a maximum of one day forward or backward if desired.
Then, push the crown back to the "IN" position #1.
SECTION III - THE ALARM FUNCTIONS
Once they are set, the alarms will sound when the watch is in any other
display mode.
A. THE DAILY ALARM (AL)
SETTING THE DAILY ALARM
1. Select the alarm function by turning the crown until either "AL" or "AG"
is displayed on the upper left.
2. Change to "AL" if necessary by pushing button "B".
3. Pull out the crown to position "2" to activate alarm setting.
4. Alarm hours at the bottom are flashing. Turn the crown in either direction
to set the alarm hours. Take note of the AM/PM indicator, if present, at
the top right.
5. Push button "B" again. Alarm minutes flash. Turn crown to set the minutes.
6.
After hours and minutes are set, push the crown "IN" again.
7.
The alarm is automatically "ON" after setting and will sound at the
selected time.
USING THE DAILY ALARM
1. When activated, the alarm will first sound for 10 seconds, then sound
intermittently for 50 seconds, then stop.
2. In the alarm mode, the alarm is turned on/off by holding button "A" for 2
seconds. An "ON" (on) and "OFF" (oF) indicator is located in the lower
right of the digital display. A single beep will sound for alarm ON only.
3. When the alarm is sounding, a push on either button will stop it.
4. The Alarm sound can be tested in either the "AL" or "AG" mode by
pushing and holding button "B". The upper part of the digital display will
flash when the alarm sounds.

B. SETTING THE CALENDAR (FUTURE DATE) ALARM (AG)
Notes: 1. This alarm is used to notify you of a FUTURE event only. You can
program (set) the Hour/Minute/Day/Month and Year of the future event in
that order. The alarm will sound when that date/time is reached. Maximum
setting is for the year 2099.
1. Turn the crown until "AL" or "AG" is displayed at the upper left.
2. Change it to "AG" if necessary by pushing button "B".
3. Once you are in the "AG" mode, THE DISPLAY at the bottom WILL
ALTERNATE between Month /Day/Year and Hours/Minutes/on-off. "AM"
or "PM" may show on the upper right depending on which time format
you chose when setting the time (See section II, Part "B", item 3).
4. Pull the crown out to position "2". Hours/Minutes will appear at the
bottom with the hours flashing. Turn the crown in either direction to set
the desired hours.
5. Push button "B" again. Minutes will flash. Turn crown to set minutes.
6. Push button "B" once more. The bottom display will change to
Month/Day/Year. The Day will be flashing. Set the day by turning the
crown.
7. Push button "B". Set the flashing Month.
8. Push button "B". Set the flashing Year.
9. When the year has been set, push the crown "in" to position "1". The
Alarm ON will indicate at the lower right. If you program a past (not
future) date into the AG alarm, you will get an alarm off (oF) indication
and it will not function.
10. Procedure for using the "AG" alarm is the same as the daily alarm (AL).
See the preceding section "USING THE DAILY ALARM" above).
SECTION IV - THE CHRONOGRAPH
A. STANDARD CHRONOGRAPH MEASUREMENTS
Once started, the chronograph will continue to run, even when the watch
display mode is changed.
1. Turn the crown (position 1) to access the Chronograph function (CHR
on the upper left).
2. Push button "A" to start the Chronograph. Elapsed 1/100 seconds will
be shown on the top right. Elapsed seconds, minutes and hours will
display at the bottom. Maximum measurement having elapsed seconds
is 24 hours.
3. To stop the chronograph, push button "A" again. "ADD" will show to the
left of the elapsed 1/100 seconds.
4. To return the chronograph reading to zero, push button "B".
B. TO ADD CHRONOGRAPH ELAPSED TIMES
1. With the chronograph running, repeatedly push button "A" for each
Start/Stop. The accumulated time will add automatically.
C. LONG TERM CHRONOGRAPH MEASUREMENT (OVER 24 HOURS)
1. If the Chronograph is allowed to run more than 24 hours, the elapsed
time display will change to show elapsed minutes, hours and days only
(no seconds or 1/100 seconds), up to an additional 99 days. The
elapsed days will show at the upper right where 1/100 seconds was
displayed previously.
D. SPLIT OR LAP TIME CHRONOGRAPH MEASUREMENT
Primarily used to keep track of "laps" in running competitions. You can stop
the Chronograph to take note of a completed lap time, then continue
measurement without interruption of the overall elapsed time.
1. Push button "A" to start Chrono measurement.
2. Push button "B" at the completion of a "lap". "SPL" shows at the upper
left and the timing will stop. Take note of the elapsed time shown.
3. Push button "B" again. The total elapsed time will catch up and continue
to run. Repeat steps 2 and 3 as often as needed.
4. At completion of all needed measurements, push button "A" to stop the
Chrono.
5. To return the chronograph reading to zero, push button "B".
SECTION V - THE COUNTDOWN TIMER
A. SETTING THE COUNTDOWN TIMER
Maximum setting - 99 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds.
Once started, the countdown timer will continue to run until the
completion alarm sounds, even if the watch is switched to other
modes.
