Technical Letter
1. Turn the crown (position 1) to access the Timer function ("TM" on the
upper left display).
2. Pull the crown out to position "2" to activate the timer setting. The timer
"days" on the upper right will flash.
3. Turn the crown in either direction to set the desired number of days.
4. Push button "B". The Timer Hours (Hours/Minutes/Seconds display at
the bottom) will flash.
5. Push button "B" and turn crown to set minutes.
6. Repeat (Button "B", turn crown) to set the timer seconds desired.
7. Push the crown back in to position "1".
B. USING THE COUNTDOWN TIMER
1. After timer setting, to start the timer, push button "A". It can be stopped
at any time, in the Timer mode, by pushing button "A" again. The timer
setting will not be affected. To restart, push button "A" once more.
2. With timer stopped, to return to your initial setting, push button "B".
3. When the timer has completed the countdown, the alarm will sound for
approximately 60 seconds or until the sound is turned off by pushing
any button.
4. Also, at the completion of the countdown to zero, the timer will stay at
zero until it is reset again.
SECTION VI - THE NIGHT LIGHT OR DIGITAL BACKLIGHT
1. The backlight for the digital display is activated by simply pushing the
crown in, at the wearing position on the wrist. (crown position "1"). It will
operate in any watch mode and stay lit for 6 seconds.
2. The second hand only will stop for 6 seconds when the light is activated.
It will then catch up when the light goes out. Timekeeping is not affected.
SECTION VII - BATTERY END-OF-LIFE
When the battery is becoming weak, and will need replacement within
several weeks, an indication of "EOL" will appear at the top center of the
digital dial. The battery number for this watch movement is #CR2320.
SECTION VIII - BATTERY SAVING FUNCTION
If the watch is not going to be used for a period of time, it can be put into a
power saving mode, which uses about 1/6 of the battery power that is used
when it is running. The timekeeping of the watch is not affected. When the
watch is started up again, it will "catch up" and display the correct time.
Proceed as follows:
1. Select the hands only (with or without date at 3 o'clock) display mode
by turning the crown.
2. Pull the crown out to position "2". An "R" indication will show at the top
of the dial.
3. Push and hold the "A" button ("BAT" will appear at the top) until the
"BAT" disappears.
4. The watch is now in the power saving mode.
5. To restart the watch, simply push the crown in. The timekeeping will
catch up to the correct time.
