DESCRIPTION
The TouchSteam is a self-contained steam cleaning device designed for Dental Laboratories
to eliminate film residues from soaps and ultrasonic cleaners, clean and neutralize metal
frameworks prior to porcelain application, remove pencil marks and polishing compound from
models and dies, and clean porcelain before glazing.

Before installation and use of this device, carefully read this instruction
manual. Keep for future reference.

Do not perform any maintenance on this device while unit is plugged in.

Use only genuine parts. Using non-genuine parts can cause damage, void your
warranty, and make unit non-compliant.

Attention: Consult accompanying documents.
HOT SURFACES. Do not touch exposed external and internal exposed
parts of unit.
PROTECTIVE EARTH GROUND. Identifies the location of protective earth
or ground terminal plug on unit.
ALTERNATING CURRENT. An electric current that reverses its direction
at regularly recurring intervals.
ON. Symbol indicating Power On.
OFF. Symbol indicating Power Off.
UNPACKING
The TouchSteam carton contains the following: (1) TouchSteam 115V, Item 33405 or TouchSteam
230V, Item 33406, (1) Set of 4 replacement nozzles, (1) Funnel for loading water, (1) Metal
holder for gun, (1) Instruction Manual. Inspect your TouchSteam and accessories for any
damage. Retain carton and packaging materials in the event unit must be shipped for servicing.
If damage is found, contact the Kerr Dealer from which you purchased the unit for service. File a
claim with the delivery service if damage appears to have occurred during shipment.
INSTALLATION
Place unit on a stable work surface with appropriate ventilation and approximately 10 inches
from walls or other equipment. Confirm that electrical ratings listed on the back plate of the unit
meet your electrical needs. Be sure the power switch is off before plugging in unit.

OPERATION
Turn unit on.
Press and hold Switch B (FIG. 1, SWITCH B) to turn on inside water level light. Release Switch B,
inside water level light will turn off.
Confirm water level. Add more distilled water as necessary.
Add water.
ATTENTION: USE DISTILLED WATER ONLY
Remove Filling Cap (FIG. 2). Please read information regarding Filling Cap.
Fill tank with distilled water to maximum level shown on Front Panel (FIG. 3).
For a dryer steam, do not fill over ¾ full.
Press and hold Switch B (FIG. 1, SWITCH B), to turn on inside water level light. Release Switch B,
inside water level light will turn off.
Replace Filling Cap (FIG. 2). DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN; A SLIGHT SCREW PRESSURE IS ADEQUATE.
ATTENTION:
FOR FIRST FILLING, APPROXIMATELY 1 GALLON (4 LITERS) IS NEEDED.
FOR REFILL, APPROXIMATELY ½ GALLON (2 LITTERS) IS NEEDED.
ALWAYS CONFIRM THERE IS NO PRESSURE INSIDE TANK.
Activate heat and pressure.
Press Power Switch C (FIG.1, SWITCH C) to ON - 1 position to begin heating. Ignition of heating
element is marked by Green Light (FIG. 1, LIGHT A).
When pressure of 51 PSI (3.5 Bars) is reached, Green Light (FIG.1, LIGHT A) will automatically
switch off.
ATTENTION:
BOILING NOISE MAY BE ELIMINATED BY RELEASING PRESSURE WITH STEAM-RELEASE
SWITCH ON HAND GUN.
