Turning back the eyecups
(for eyeglass-wearers)
By turning back the eye-
cups, the eyeglass-wearer
can optimally utilize the
full field of view. The eye-
cups can be unscrewed for
cleaning or replacement.
Mounting the telescope on the tripod
The tripod base has a con-
necting thread of 3/8˝ UNC.
1/4"
The inserted bush reduces
the connecting thread to
1/4˝. The observation tele-
scope thus fits on any stan-
dard tripod.
After use of the telescope
• Close it until stop.
• Screw the ocular all the way in.
• Put the objective and ocular lens caps back
on.
• Store in a well-ventilated area.

Maintenance and Care
On account of the functional principle of all
extendable telescopes from any manufacturer, an
extendable telescope never can be tight. When
pulling out, air must enter into the instrument.
A built-in filter protects the interior against dirt.
When closing the instrument, particular attention
should be paid that possibly no dirt or humidity
will remain on the extension tubes. This assists
the cleaning function of the built-in sealing rings.
Despite these precautions, the interior may show,
after long year of use, dirt on the optical surface.
For such rare cases, SWAROVSKI OPTIK is provi-
ding a cleaning service.
With large temperature changes, the objective may
show – when pulling out the telescope – some con-
densation on the inside surface. Normally, such a
condensation should disappear after a short while.
If not, it is recommendable to pull out/push in the
telescope several times at normal room tempera-
ture. This will make the condensation to disappear.
If not, please consider this to be a hint for a neces-
sary cleaning service as aforementioned.
Clean dirty lenses initially with a dust brush and
then with the special lens cleaning cloth.
Please observe the following:
• Keep all glass surfaces free of oil and grease.
• Do not touch glass surfaces.
• Avoid scratching glass surfaces.
Use a soft clean cloth to remove dust and dirt
adhering to metall surfaces (do not use the lens
