Watch out for sparks from the disc on a job. Keep the machine so that sparks y away from you,
other people, or ammable materials.
Hold the machine by the insulated rubber parts when you are performing an operation where
the cutting machine may be in contact with a hidden installation or its own cable.
Contact with a "live" wire can expose metal parts of the machine and shock the operator.
Never leave the adjusting wrench on the tool before starting the machine.
Never leave the ignition key lock in the "on" position, before plugging in the machine make
sure the lock is in the "o " position.
When the machine starts, let it run for a few seconds before using it on the
job. Look at vibrations or ripples that may indicate a poor installation.
When operating the grinder, prevent the blade from exing or breaking. If this occurs, stop the
machine and inspect the disc.
Secure the material to be ground. Never hold it with your hands or with your legs.
Keep your hands away from moving parts.
Always wear safety glasses, gloves, and a dust mask when grinding, especially when grinding
above the level of your head.
Do not touch the workpiece immediately after the operation. It can be terribly hot and can
burn your skin.
Do not use accessories that require coolants, using water or some other coolant can cause
electric shock to the operator.
Do not use this machine to perform tasks for which it was not designed.
KICKBACK CAUSES AND PREVENTION
Kickback is an unforeseen reaction of a nailed, locked, or misaligned disc, causing an upward
and counter-jump.
When the disc is nailed or locked by the edges of the closing cut, the disc stops and the motor
reaction quickly pushes the unit back against the operator.
If the disc is twisted or misaligned in the cut, the trailing edge of the disc can be driven into the
top of the workpiece, causing the disc to jump out of the cut against the operator.
Kickback is the result of misuse and / or incorrect operations, which can be avoided taking into
account the precautions given below.
